This is a favorite for pollinators - both bees & butterflies love the tall, fluffy, purple flowers. It is also a drought tolerant plant that provides height to your flower beds as it blooms from mid summer into early fall. The blooms make excellent cut flowers for your vases, as well!
Due to agricultural restrictions, I can't ship plant material to: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington State.
Blazing Star is an easy to care for and stunning herbaceous perennial for your landscaping.
Recommended for USDA zones 3 - 8.
Space plants 12" - 15" apart. They will grow approximately 2' - 4' tall and up to 1.5' wide.
You will receive 3 plants. They will be shipped bare root and their roots will be wrapped in damp newspaper and covered in plastic. When they arrive, make sure paper is still damp. Plant soon and give them a drink.
When your box arrives, please open it immediately. This variety likes full sun. However, if the temperature is hot when planting, provide a little shade for the first few days or even a couple of weeks while the plant comes out of transplant shock.
These are living plants harvested from healthy specimens grown on my fully licensed, pesticide-free farm. A copy of my nursery license will be included with every shipment.
